Jordan is a punching bag
with fresh knuckle marks,
supportive and hard,
floats like a butterfly,
stings like a bee.
He’s a protective shark
with sharp teeth so people back off,
a Buzz Lightyear superhero,
a Nike hat cos he’s a Chav.
A protein shake –
when you rattle him up,
he’s known to explode,
a Blackpool Donkey –
he runs fast, takes me on rides,
he’s coming home,
three lions on the shirt,
a proper football fan.

Mackiedees scoffer,
a funny tiger,

Paradise
I hold paradise in my palms and it looks like a sacred treasure.
It is the shape of a sun,
it smells like lavender.
I carry it in my skull.
I need it most when I am infected with chaos.
To get it out I have to imagine it.
I wish that it was like a genie,
taking all my stress away.
But it only exists in the multiverse.

Defender keeps having me,
move out of the way.
Attacker wants to run,
we get 3 like Stephen Curry.
Goalkeeper screaming at me,
I look at him like a death beam.
Got a hattrick, dirty hacks,
team’s got my ball.
Position, position, what do I wear?
What kind of boots are there to spare?
Like a dart, you strike,
you fly like a winger.
The pads on your shin,
the tape that you wear.
In what part do we start?
like a dart,
we aren’t very smart.
Through and through,
out of the blue,
we aren’t so cool.

When I look in the mirror I see
a fish flopping in the florescent moonlight.
When I look in the mirror I see
a can of soup partying on a ragged rooftop.
When I look in the mirror I see
a dog vibing on a Back to the Future DeLorean.
When I look in the mirror I see
Venom with a party hat having an arm wrestle with Jesus.
When I look in the mirror I see
a hamster riding on a monkey wearing Sonic the Hedgehog shoes.
When I look in the mirror I see
a gorilla riding in a spaceship around the universe.
When I look in the mirror I see
the future as we all know it.

Jonny’s Dream
When I look in the mirror
the dream for everything I’d like
looks appealing.
Driving a Lambs round the streets of New York,
private jets around the world,
playing football with Zidane.
All dreams can come true.
This is far from reality however
Jonny can’t do a thing,
living on Northumberland Street,
breathing in the smoke of cigarettes.
Homeless Jonny is
left isolated,
no friends,
no family.
A job interview is needed,
that’s his go-to dream,
also wanting to be feeded,
that is not obscene.
Paradise can still be reached though.
All dreams can come true.

The Crystal Market
At the crystal selling market
everything was so strong.
I saw,
pocket size gems,
crystal growing trees,
magnetic rocks,
aqua blue crystals,
and everything you class as mind-blowing.
It was different,
this was different.
I was astounded by the vivid structures
that my glorious eyes could see.
My eyes glistened as the crystal
gems stared at my face.
The first time I saw this market,
I was flying like a rocket.
Not knowing what to choose,
what to get. I hopped around like
a bunny choosing its carrot.
As I was looking around at the
glistening beauties,
a customer with a Labrador came by.
The round eyes of the dog
widened to adore the glowing gems.
As the customer was busy looking,
Smash!
The dog crashed into the market,
causing a crystal jumble.
